HI! I'M EDELWEISS
I'm a mother of a delightful little girl and a caster for Hearthstone esports. In my free time I also DM for two different DnD groups, one in person and one remotely. I was a player for years until I finally decided to start DMing and now I can't get enough of it. My mind is constantly churning with new plots, ideas, and of course designs for DnD and other games while I go about my daily activities. Eventually, I decided it was time to stop talking the ears off my friends and family and start writing. That is how this blog started.

My background is in art education, although that did include a little bit of game design while I was at university. I've always had an analytical mind, and I attribute my success in casting Hearthstone to being able to convey my thoughts in a clear manner for others to understand. While I have applied to work on the design team of that game in the past, I've found a wonderful work life balance in being a stay at home mother and performing contract work. In addition to lots of time with my daughter, this grants me an abundance of opportunities to consider my homebrews and ideas for campaigns.

The goal of this blog is to put my ideas out into the world for others to benefit from while I build up a portfolio of DnD creations. There's little chance of WotC ever making the kinds of changes that I would like to see for DnD because it is a legacy product, so I just have to be the change I want to see in the game. I will post my thoughts, designs I've been working on, and challenges I've faced while designing. In addition to writing blog posts, I will also be creating usable materials in Homebrewery and on DnD Beyond for you all to use in your games if you share my visions for the game. Enjoy!
